As the Compensation Specialist you will provide support and recommendations to enhance our compensation programs. You will use your expertise to improve and implement compensation policies, process and tools to align with our Total Rewards philosophy and business strategy.

How you will create impact:

Evaluating, reviewing and creating job evaluation documentation, including updating job profiles and job codes and communicating job evaluation results to business partners.

Supporting the annual compensation process by preparing communication materials and responding to inquiries to ensure compliance.

Conducting data analysis, preparing summary reports and completing annual market compensation surveys to achieve strategic objectives.

Reviewing and recommending revisions to compensation guidelines and policies, including industry and local trends and changes to compensation legislations.

Fostering positive relationships with business partners and providing guidance and education on compensation guidelines, policies and practices.

To join our team:

You have three years of experience in Human Resources or a related field.

You have a post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Psychology, Sociology or in a related discipline.

You have or are working towards the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation(s).

You have working knowledge of Compensation processes and tools, job evaluation theory and legislations.

You have working knowledge of compensation principles and practices including job evaluations and market analysis. * This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Québec, and requires proficiency in English. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.

Expected Salary Range: $57,375 - $95,625

*The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.
