We are seeking PSWs for a community client in the Gravenhurst area to provide respite. Shifts vary from mornings to evenings. We are seeking part-time to full-time individuals who are available to pick up shifts as needed.

The successful candidate’s areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide respite care to family
- Take client on engaging outings and provide companionship
- Providingcognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support
- Provide behavioural support and crisis intervention
- Maintaining open communication with client and their family
- Monitoring care plan and adding documentation with any changes and updates
- Responding to all emergency situations
- All other duties, as assigned
Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:
- PSW or DSW certification is required
- Valid First Aid/CPR certificate
- Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- CPI training is an asset**
- Satisfactory professional references
- Ability toaccurately follow written and verbal instructions
- Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters
