YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITYOur communications division plays a crucial role in advancing the organization’s mission by raising awareness of the programs and services that CMHA Calgary offers in the community. Our team focus on internal and external communications, along with developing and maintaining a strong social media and digital marketing presence. The team also organizes and attends many community outreach events and works at developing community partnerships as we collaborate with other organizations, schools and community groups to expand the reach of CMHA Calgary.Who YOU AREAs a vital member of Team CMHA Calgary, you have the ability to make a real difference. This position has been partially funded by the Government of Canada through the Canada Student Jobs program and we are pleased to be able to bring a summer student onboard for a total of 8 weeks.The Communications Summer Student will support the Communications Team in successfully completing various tasks associated with Communications including developing content for websites, social media, and video; assisting with communications planning and execution; assisting with internal communications, and other required tasks.WHAT YOU BRINGPassion for CMHA Calgary’s mission and vision.Assisting with social media content, images, graphics - Students often bring fresh, innovative ideas and are usually well-versed in the latest social media trends. This can help CMHA Calgary stay relevant and engaging on social platforms, potentially increasing their outreach and impact.Developing content for websites, including blogs - By involving students in content creation for websites and blogs, CMHA Calgary can diversify its content perspectives, making it more relatable to a younger audience. Additionally, consistent, fresh content can improve SEO rankings, enhancing the visibility of CMHA Calgary's online presence.Developing video content for websites and social media - Video content is crucial for effective online communication.
