We have a full-time position for a Communications Specialist (Internal) on the Corporate Communications & Events Team in Calgary, AB. This role is hybrid - in-office with 20% flexibility to work from home.

Reporting to the General Manager, Corporate Communications, Government Relations & CEO Office, the Communications Specialist (Internal) is responsible for developing and executing the Company's Internal Communications Strategy. You will create and manage content of various mediums that engages team members, in support of the Company's values-based culture and growth strategies. You will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure all internal communication is clear, consistent, and aligned with the Company's brands, goals and values. This role plays a crucial role in ensuring effective and timely dissemination of information across the Company that is both relevant and engaging to internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator with a talent for crafting engaging strategies and content for internal communications. They will be proactive and creative, elevating our communications function and engaging effectively with key stakeholders across the organization. Responsibilities:

Develop and execute internal communication strategies for the Company, including drafting key messaging, defining communication channels, understanding target audiences, considering tactics, drafting content and analyzing outcomes. Manage all facets of the internal communications cycle, creating and deliver internal communications content, including executive memos, email updates, eNewsletters, intranet content, videos, presentations, etc. Develop and maintain a content calendar for the Company's intranet to ensure that internal communications are timely and relevant, while remaining nimble adding time-sensitive and critical content, as needed. Manage the Company's intranet, serving as the key contact and subject matter expert for the platform, keeping content current, refreshing the homepage design, and working with corporate site owners to maintain their pages on an ongoing basis. Collaborate with key organizational stakeholders, often executives and senior leaders, to provide communications support, ensuring communication are clear, consistent, and aligned with the company's goals and values, as well as brand standards. Assist with crisis communications, ensuring all employees are informed and up to date, as situations arise. Maintain and manage the Corporate Communications internal communication tools, using multiple user-friendly platforms to deliver effective communications. Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communications, reporting to the GM, Corporate Communications, Government Relations & CEO Office monthly, making recommendations for improvement based on feedback and data analysis. Support the success of the Company's events, internal and external, working with the Events & Community Engagement Specialist to develop effective communications. Other projects and duties, as assigned. Qualifications:

A Post-Secondary Degree, or Diploma, in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or Journalism. 5-7 years of work experience in a communications position. A driven individual with an editorial mindset who seeks to understand what audiences consume and proactively creates engaging and creative content that resonates. Exceptional verbal and written communications skills including planning, research, interviewing, writing, editing, and producing compelling on-brand content for diverse stakeholders. Experience with video production, including filming and editing. Ability to learn new communications tools and platforms including Omnia (Intranet platform), CodeTwo (email signatures tool) and Contact Monkey (eNewsletter platform). Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft 365, including SharePoint and Planner. Experience with data analytics, and Microsoft PowerBI considered an asset. Experience working in a corporate setting, interacting with executives, senior leaders and internal stakeholders (Human Resources, HSE, ESG, Talent Development & Investor Relations Teams) considered an asset.
