Our client is a mission-driven organization in the non-profit sector, currently looking for a motivated, creative, and enthusiastic Communications Manager to join their team. If being a part of a dynamic organization and engaging in purpose-driven work that makes a difference appeals to you, we would love to connect today Location: Remote/Hybrid – Burnaby, BC (for in-office days) Expected Salary Range: $85,000 - 95,000 per year Responsibilities : Develop communications strategy, inclusive of marketing campaigns, corporate communications, government relations strategy, sponsorship, media relations, digital strategy, social media, website development, branding, measurement and event planning Utilize effective storytelling to increase engagement and awareness, and assist with stakeholder relations Lead all aspects of internal and external communications and ensure campaigns, initiatives, and material align with the organization’s brand and its strategic initiatives Serve as the key media liaison to handle enquiries, prepare messaging, and actively handle outreach activities with relevant parties Manage the creative and content development process with writing, and editing of various documents, including but not limited to publications, press materials, speeches, newsletters, annual reports, and brochures Coordinate creative elements - including photography, design, film and printing for production of key assets Liaise with partnership organizations on promotional opportunities to build engagement within the community, event planning and participation Coordinate with internal staff to identify communication needs; and provide supervision to staff and contractors on various project deliverables Assist with special projects, as required Requirements : Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Communications or related role Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related discipline Experience working in the non-profit and/or public sector is required; and having a healthcare related background is considered a strong asset Sound knowledge of principles, concepts, practices and techniques in the areas of communications, public, media and government relations Demonstrated experience in strategic development and implementation of communication plans Strong proficiency with MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite; and an overall tech savviness with social media platforms, website content management software Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Excellent project management skills to execute on strategic plans; with the ability to liaise with multiple internal and external stakeholders Ability to work to tight deadlines with close attention to detail and accuracy Exemplary problem solving, analytical thinking and innovation Bilingual ability in English and French is highly desired Individuals meeting the criteria above are encouraged to submit their resume by clicking on the "APPLY" button.
