This position requires high standards in merchandising and customer service, and the ability to organize and lead a team toward common goals. We are seeking a candidate with strong technical knowledge and experience in Home and Building Centre operations.Responsibilities will include:Develop business strategies that support our retail goals and guiding statements;Organize, direct and co-ordinate the operations of the store while achieving budgeted goals;Provide and encourage staff to provide sustainable value through service and excellence. Ensure staff strive to reach a "Youre at Home Here" level of customer service satisfaction;Be responsible for security of buildings, cash, property and equipment, maintenance, etc., at the store;Provide superior leadership through coaching, development, management of performance, and feedback to team members, so that team members provide exceptional customer service and technical advice to our customers;Drive for continuous improvement in all aspects of the team and operations;Ensure that company policies, best practices, training courses, and certifications are completed in a timely and efficient manner;Lead a culture of safety through coaching, monitoring, and continuous improvement;Communicate with key stakeholders both in the organization and community;Who you are:You are looking for a career in Home and Building Supplies products and possess the following qualities:Has previous experience in progressive and successful leadership roles, preferably in the Home & Building Supplies industry;Demonstrates exceptional guest experience skills;Demonstrated supervisory and delegation experience;A minimum of 5 years previous retail experience is an asset;Excellent leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills;Ability to foster a culture focused on safety, innovation, and teamwork;Alignment with Boundary Co-ops values of Responsibility, Integrity, Community and Excellence;You?re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do;You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives;Displays a commitment to ongoing development in the industry.We welcome candidates with a combination of relevant experience and/or education.
