Please e-mail your resume as a MS-WORD document in confidence Subject: Commercial Property Underwriter II, Attention:ruzo@vtrac.comor call: (647) 598-1825Position#: 241xxxPosition: Commercial Property Underwriter IIPosition Type: PermanentNo. of Positions: 1Location: Kitchener/Waterloo, ONResponsibilities• Underwrite new business, renewals and endorsements according to established underwriting guidelines.• Develop appropriate solutions for moderately complex underwriting problems.• Develop, maintain and manage positive broker relationships, including broker visits as required.• Respond to broker requests and inquiries in a timely manner.• Rating/pricing of complex commercial risks using sound underwriting judgement.• Participate in production calls on agents/brokerage offices, as required.• Keep abreast of all company and industry underwriting policies, procedures and standards.• Provide exceptional P&C underwriting expertise to agents and Brokers.• Independently develop underwriting solutions to complex risks.• Accompanying brokers on field underwriting of accounts, as required.• Providing technical support and training to internal staff and agents/brokers.• Independently conducts individual commercial policy and commercial portfolio audits.• Assist in market research and product development activities.Qualifications• 3 years of experience in property & casualty insurance underwriting• CIP and/or post-secondary education or University degree with partial completion of CIP designation is preferred.• FCIP or CRM is preferred.We thank all candidates in advance.
