POSITION SUMMARYWe are looking for Apprentice Electricians to join our diverse team on a commercial project. Shift: 4 days a week – 8-10 hour days Wage varies between $17.20-$30.10. Flyer pays wages based on the SATCC Apprentice RatesBENEFITS Comprehensive benefits package which includes health, dental, disability, life, and travel medical insurance Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) Wellness Spending Account RRSP matching program that increases with the years of service with the company Overtime payCompetitive wages Continuous training and professional development to grow and advance your career with Flyer APPRENITCE RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain good customer relations with site personnel and customersComply with Company’s corporate Health and Safety manual Adhere to the Company and the customers policies and procedures as they apply to each project Ensure project safety policies are followed at all times Responsible for efficient use of materials, equipment, and performance of all field related activities for each tasks/project Ensure field work is executed in compliance with instructions given Be able to take directions and be receptive to training and mentoring Apply yourself to learn and comprehend drawings and specifications Proficient tool usage, both personal and suppliedWork with multiple types of installations Attend daily/weekly site meetings and all training required Maintain clean driving abstract and Drug and Alcohol clearance Maintain a professional image and a high level of service with customers and co-workers during all contact, displaying positive behaviour, attitude, and workmanship habits in a respectful and empathetic wayFollow the direction of your supervisor in the proper use of tools, materials, and techniques for most efficient electrical installations Any other duties as assigned APPRENTICE QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLSCompletion of Electrical Pre-Employment Course Current Fall Arrest and EWP Certificates Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel Valid Class 5 driver’s licenseClear and Maintain a clean driving and drug and alcohol clearanceMust be legally entitled to work in CanadaFlyer Electric is proud of our diverse workforce!
