Lycopodium is currently recruiting for a Commercial and Contracts Manager to join our growing Projects team in Mississauga, ON.

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Projects the Commercial and Contracts Manager will be responsible for the management of contracts entered into directly by the business, including pre-award and post-award contract administration, management and close-out. This covers Client contracts for both projects and studies, and includes Professional Services Agreements, EPCM and EPC contracts as well as Lycopodium direct contracts with sub-contractors and sub-consultants.

The tasks you'll perform

  • Develop contract management plans, schedules and budgets for each contract, and ensure that the contract is delivered in accordance with these controls.
  • Ensure that all contract management activities are conducted within ethical and Company standards, and in compliance with jurisdictional statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate contract terms and conditions and contract structures (in compliance with Client requirements and standards) to suit each specific scope of work.
  • Develop and maintain the various contracts standards and procedures necessary to enable all study and project teams to work efficiently and consistently and to a high industry standard.
  • Review and approve all formal contractual communications between Lycopodium and its Clients so that contractual correspondence / notices are correct and accurate and responded to in accordance with the relevant contract.

The expertise you'll bring

  • Undergraduate qualification in commerce, business, engineering or Law.
  • Minimum of ten years’ experience in contract management role(s) on substantial resources projects.
  • Previous experience in management and leading large teams of people.
  • Related international work experience and/or experience working on a remote site/location.
  • Post-graduate qualification in contract law is advantageous.
