CNC router programmer/operator Location Winnipeg, MB :

Overview: We are seeking a skilled CNC Router Operator/Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating and programming CNC routers, with a focus on precision and efficiency. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. The CNC Router Operator/Programmer will play a critical role in the production process, ensuring the accurate and timely fabrication of various components and products.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC routers according to job specifications and production schedules.
  • Program CNC routers using CAD/CAM software, optimizing tool paths for maximum efficiency and accuracy.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and other specifications to determine machining requirements.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC routers, including cleaning, lubrication, and tool replacement.
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to ensure quality and productivity.
  • Conduct quality inspections of machined parts, using precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Troubleshoot issues with CNC routers, identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize designs for manufacturability.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience operating and programming CNC routers in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in CAM software, SolidWorks experience considered an asset.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
  • Knowledge of machining processes, materials, and cutting tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing setting.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.

Pay: $17.00-$21.00 per hour
