Overview: We are seeking a skilled CNC Router Operator/Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating and programming CNC routers, with a focus on precision and efficiency. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. The CNC Router Operator/Programmer will play a critical role in the production process, ensuring the accurate and timely fabrication of various components and products.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC routers according to job specifications and production schedules.
- Program CNC routers using CAD/CAM software, optimizing tool paths for maximum efficiency and accuracy.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and other specifications to determine machining requirements.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC routers, including cleaning, lubrication, and tool replacement.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to ensure quality and productivity.
- Conduct quality inspections of machined parts, using precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Troubleshoot issues with CNC routers, identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize designs for manufacturability.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating and programming CNC routers in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAM software, SolidWorks experience considered an asset.
- Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
- Knowledge of machining processes, materials, and cutting tools.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing setting.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
