CNC Programmer Reports directly to the CNC Programming Supervisor. The CNC Programmer will be responsible for the set-up and programming of computer numerical control (CNC) machines used for manufacturing. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Education Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Machining, Programming Science, or related area. Years of Experience Minimum 2 years of programming experience Working Conditions Office setting; Hours of Work: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM; Work environment requires wearing PPE in certain locations; andFlexible to work approved overtime as required.Required Level Experience using Autodesk Inventor (Sheet Metal 3D Modeling); Good knowledge in the following software: AlmaCAM, Dr.ABE, Enroute, CutList Plus and other Nesting/Machining software; Salvagnini S4 + P4 programming is an asset; Strong skills in Mathematics (Geometry) and calculations; Excellent in Microsoft Excel and Outlook; Assist with training any new or junior programmers; Attention to detail and accuracy is required; Ability to problem solve based on Supervisor instructions; Effective written and oral communication skills; Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload; Discretion, judgement and tact to handle confidential information; File accurately in each job folder; and Demonstrate States core values and work in a team environment. Job Specific Duties Receive job folders from Order Processors and review; Separate procedures (Turret, Shear, Router); Ensure requested parts are doable, for example, brake press tooling limitations, sheet sizes for turret and router, etc.; Program MultiCam CNC Router and AMADA Turret; Communication with Breakdown Detailers and Engineering Department for any conflicts regarding drawings and patterns; Effective communication with Supervisors, Order Processors and Machine operators daily in person; Make certain that all required drawings, spreadsheets, bending Instructions and notes are available in job folder; Create label sticker tags for produced parts and check quantities; Responsible for updating designs and programs in case of design change; Quality control of produced parts; and Any other tasks assigned by the CNC Programming Supervisor.
