What will you do as an CMM Specialist?

The CMM Specialist will perform measurement and other quality related activities for machined components using a Coordinate Measuring Machine as well as manual and automatic measuring equipment, and managing statistical measurement data.

You will report to the Technical Team Lead at the Machining Office located in Surrey, BC

Typical duties, responsibilities and activities include:

  • Works with shop and technical staff to ensure quality goals are being achieved.
  • Works with R&D staff to plan key aspects of quality assurance.
  • Operates CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) and other measurement equipment, as well as inspection analysis software. This may include creating CMM inspection programs.
  • Analysis and monitoring of measurement data to identify trends and improve processes.
  • Responsible for the integrity of measurement records.
  • Conducts root cause analysis on nonconforming components.
  • Recommends changes to processes to improve production processes.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

What do you need to be successful?

  • Well organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Quality Control and/or Statistical Process Control experience
  • Knowledgeable in measurement techniques
  • Very strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Strong computer skills / administration skills
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings.
  • Knowledge of GD&T.
  • CMM programming and operation experience is preferred.
  • Experience in CNC machining is an asset.


BC/CALIFORNIA ROLES ONLY |

Salary Range: $52,632 - $60,000- $68,400

Expected Salary: Our typical hiring range will be +/- 10% of the midpoint listed above. Factors influencing this decision include qualifications and market conditions for the role.
