Job Title: Cloud Security Engineer
Location: Toronto (Hybrid – 3 days/week in office)
Employment type: Full-time
About the Role
Seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to join our growing DevOps & Cloud team. This role will focus on securing both cloud and on-prem environments while supporting ongoing and new initiatives, including cutting-edge AI projects. You’ll work closely with a team of 7–8 engineers across Cloud and DevOps.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud and on-prem security controls across infrastructure and applications.
- Monitor and secure networks, protocols, and firewalls to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Develop automation scripts using AWS Batch or Python to strengthen security operations.
- Partner with DevOps, Cloud, and Engineering teams to embed security best practices.
- Support innovative projects, including AI initiatives, by building security into systems from the start.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 5+ years’ hands-on experience in Cybersecurity, Cloud Security, and Network Security.
- Strong expertise with AWS security services and controls.
- Deep knowledge of firewalls, protocols, and security frameworks.
- Experience with AWS Batch or Python scripting.
Nice-to-Haves
- Security certifications (AWS Security Specialty, CISSP, CISM, CEH, Security+).
- Previous experience on AI-related or large-scale DevOps/Cloud projects.
