Crisis Services is a ground-breaking and evolving program focused on the delivery of crisis services within Winnipeg across two sites; the Crisis Response Center and the Crisis Stabilization Unit. This approach to crisis services continues to be a first of its kind in Canada and offers a constellation of walk-in, mobile, crisis stabilization and scheduled crisis response services. Crisis Services offers mental health crisis services seven days a week, 24 hours a day at two sites. Crisis Services includes multi-disciplinary teams of psychiatrists, nurses, social workers along with other clinicians and support workers.
Reporting to the Manager of Specialized Services, Clinical Specialists, the Clinical Specialist with Crisis Response Services addresses key clinical issues by providing clinical expertise and leadership in the areas of clinical practice, consultation, supervision, inter-professional collaboration, education and training, quality improvement, and research.
The Clinical Specialist provides leadership in promoting and maintaining excellence in the delivery of relevant, evidence-based clinical interventions related to crisis and post crisis within the integrated mental health and addictions (MHA) system. The Clinical Specialist, in alignment with and a champion of health care transformation, will be responsive to broad system needs, including embracing and leading change that improves flow, access, and treatment options for Manitobans.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
