Job Description

Reports directly to the Site Operations Manager, the Cladding Field Manager shall direct, oversee, and be responsible for all on-site elements and functions that relate directly and indirectly to the design, manufacture, delivery, and installation of products on projects assigned to him or her. Working as part of an established organization structure and within standard protocols and procedures by which all work undertaken is conducted, the Field Manager shall: Education Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Architectural Technology Construction Management or Civil Engineering. Project Management Professional Certification is an asset. Years of Experience Minimum 2-3+ years of Field Management or project coordination experience. Working Conditions Hours: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM Work may involve some exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and loud noises; Work environment requires wearing PPE for all site work and in certain other locations. Requires driving a company vehicle to visit sites, clients, or Site Supers. Full Health and Safety training required (Working at Heights, WHMIS); Follow Health and Safety standards on site; and Flexible to work overtime as required. Required Level Detail oriented with the ability to read shop and architectural drawings; Knowledgeable in the industry and knows about the products and systems; Ability to act as a mentorship to Junior/Intermediate FM's; Ability to problem solve and find enterprising solutions; Full understanding of measuring on site with tools; Discretion, judgement, and tact to handle confidential information; Write letters, memos and emails; Communication with coworkers daily by telephone, email and in person; Demonstrate core values and work in a team environment; and Ability to work independently without supervision; Manage multiple large and complex projects. Job Specific Duties Minimum of 2 site visits per project each week; Participate in kick-off meeting for releases, delivery & installation with Installer and Engineering Team; Review measurement schedule for sites and provide measurement to Engineering, inform all team members if cannot be done due to site delays; Check all site measurements for accuracy, missing information and add photos of the site conditions in Procore; Email to site, and Installer's start-up safety documents prior to first delivery; Revise Competent Supervisor form and JHA when Installers changes Supervisor(s) on site; Schedule start-up meeting with Safety Coordinator, Site Super and Installer to review safety hazards, controls and the sequence for installation; Schedule site orientation & JHA review for the installation crew(s) at start up and when new workers are added prior to starting work on sites; Arrange for mock-up installation on site, if required; Review Installer information in Safety loop to check if completed and for accuracy; Plan deliver y and installation schedule with the Project Coordinator prior to sending to sites; Reply to site's emails or requests within 24 hours; Document all extra cost and provide information to the Project Coordinator to issue CCO to GC; Conduct random Installer safety audit and document compliant or noncompliant in Safety loop; Participate in Health & Safety investigation for Installer infractions; Attend Site's Trades weekly or bi-weekly meetings and field tests; Follow up with Installer to provide site all daily or weekly inspections logs and safety talks; Take the Installer for walkthrough on a floor-by-floor basis to review deficiencies and completion of work; Spot check deliveries to ensure accuracy; report damages and/or missing materials to shipping within 24-48 hours; Provide detail review to the Site Operations Manager including but not limited to any changes required to standard installation process, swing stage requirements, and equipment for installation; Perform co-ordination between site and Shipping for delivery of the Cladding; Audit the installation weekly to inspect workmanship and compliance of details as per approved shop drawings; Update weekly field tracker and maintain chronological photo history of site progress in Procore; Ensure that all site's and Building Science's reports received for deficiencies are addressed in a timely manner; Perform walk throughs on a balcony-by-balcony basis, document all deficiencies in Procore and follow up for when materials will be ready for delivery; Coordinate with Service Team, Plant, and Installer to complete all deficiencies document cost if extra to the installer; Close open items in Procore once completed, upload before & after photos; Review and approve installer's invoices on Procore, ensure all paperwork are submitted and correct before signing off, complete time and labour form for pre-approval with full explanation for any extras costs; Review invoices in Procore, update percentages completed for deliveries and installation, send email to Billing Coordinator when done; Arrange for any equipment required to complete work-swing stage the like; ensure equipment rental charges end when it is no longer needed, verify and sign off monthly rental invoices; Schedule close out meeting with Field & Engineering Teams to review wins and improvements to be done; Schedule compliance inspections with Engineer; Review as-built and marked up drawings for Engineering to reflect the changes that have been made during installation; Represent SRC, as requested, in business with customers, consultants, contractors, and suppliers; and Any other tasks assigned by the Site Operations Manager Interested in learning about perks and benefits?
