Job Description

ABOUT THE POSITION You will be reporting to the Senior Project Manager and the Director of Civil Operations and your duties will be as follows: Designing and putting into action the safety program for the project, while also fostering a safety-conscious culture as a mentor and exemplar. Spearheading the pursuit of new projects by participating in estimations, collaborating with trade contractors, and engaging in proposals and presentations. Supervising the formulation and execution of the quality management plan, ensuring stakeholder endorsement of the quality culture. Comprehending client priorities and proposing value engineering solutions for functionality, cost, and schedule advantages. Regularly assessing project performance through safety, cost forecasts, and schedule status reports. Identifying and addressing risks and opportunities associated with construction projects. Managing relationships among the project team, client representatives, consultants, and trade contractors. Monitoring the advancement of the design, addressing compliance matters, ensuring quality, coordinating overall project aspects, assessing constructability, and managing delivery timelines. Assisting the project team lead in establishing a comprehensive design management and quality plan and conducting periodic quality audits to ensure adherence. Keeping all stakeholders informed about potential opportunities and challenges and managing expectations through effective communication channels. Performing other necessary duties as assigned THE REQUIREMENTS 5-10 years of civil construction experience in a leadership role Experience working on civil infrastructure projects such as road, transit and bridge construction. Estimating experience Postsecondary education or training in construction management, engineering or a related field. Strong knowledge of building codes, practices and safety practices. Proficient using MS Office Suite, project management and scheduling software. COMPENSATION $120,000 – $140,000 Pension contribution matched at 5% Company shares Laptop and cell provided.
