Civil Engineering Technologists (full-time permanent positions)

Job Description:
The successful candidate, under the direction of a senior engineer or technologist, will be responsible for the design/drafting and associated field work for a variety of civil, municipal and structural projects as described further below.
What you will do:
Preparation of plan, profile and detail drawings for a variety of municipal infrastructure projects including, but not limited to, roads, bridges, municipal drainage, water/wastewater facilities
Completing design calculations for storm sewers, sanitary sewers, watermains and stormwater management facilities
Preliminary and detailed design of grading, drainage and servicing plans for land development
Field work including detailed topographic site surveys and field inspection during construction
Developing cost estimates, construction specifications and contract documents
Other duties as assigned
What you will need:
Graduate of an engineering technology program or equivalent training
Eligible for or obtained OACETT designation an asset
Up to 4 years of design related experience for Junior positions, 5+ years of experience for intermediate positions
Experience and aptitude to work with the following software packages: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD/Civil 3D
Past construction experience will be considered an asset
Possess strong organizational, oral, written communication, and problem-solving skills; have an approachable enthusiastic interpersonal style
Possess a valid driver's license
