Civil Engineer, Transportation | Design ConsultancyPosted 9 hours ago Management-owned multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with offices across Canada Multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with offices across Canada seeks a Civil Engineer why you should be interestedAs part of the Resource Infrastructure group, you will be part of a team that completes a wide variety of projects for clients in the forestry, mining, oil and gas, transportation, and municipal sectors. Project experience may include roads and highways, bridges and culverts, transportation studies, functional planning, options analysis, haul roads, access roads / route selection, and site development. You will be directly involved and responsible for the preparation of studies, reports, designs, cost estimates, and contract documents. Field work may be required, to sometimes remote locations. how you’ll contribute to our companyResponsibilities include: Act as project engineer on various projects Coordinate technicians and designers to ensure projects deliverables and milestones are met Prepare written technical reports that may include feasibility studies, design reports (conceptual, preliminary, detailed), functional planning reports, options analysis, and design basis memorandums Prepare designs, construction cost estimates, contract documents, and technical specifications Assist and be responsible for responding to Requests for Proposals, and developing work plans and budget estimates Perform site visits and field work as required Contract administration what you will bring to the tableYou should have the following qualifications: Undergraduate degree in civil engineering from an accredited university Registered, or eligible for professional licensing with APEGBC as a P.Eng, with a minimum of 5 years progressive experience in civil / transportation engineering Experience preparing civil designs, cost estimates, schedules, tender documents, and specifications Strong written communication skills with experience preparing items such as: technical reports that include studies, design reports, and design basis memorandums Experience responding to Request for Proposals, preparing work plans and fee estimates is an asset Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D Familiar with GIS applications and software Proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to liaise with clients and internal team members Possess a valid driver’s license Only candidates with authorisation to work in Canada will be considered.
