In this role, your primary responsibilities are to lead diverse civil projects, provide detailed design support in production of engineering design packages, assist in proposals, project management, and delivery of local and regional projects to both private landowners and to a variety of local municipalities and government agencies. What Can We Offer You? The salary range for this position is $91,520 - $135,200 per annum. McElhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual’s education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications. The posted base salary/wage range is representative of the required level of qualifications and experience for the position as noted in the job posting. Work from preliminary concepts and sketches into engineering designs, plans and project informational requirements, using Civil 3D, as well as other technical software as needed. Coordinate and assist in the preparation of documents required for approvals, prepare development and construction cost estimates, tender documents and contracts, and coordinate with other team members to ensure schedules, budgets and quality control standards are achieved. Complete field inspections to monitor the quality and progress of the work being performed. Assist with Construction management and contract administration Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and technical staff. What You’ll Bring Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university with a 5+ years’ experience in a similar role Registration in good standing as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng. or eligibility for registration) in BC Proficiency in the application of specialized design software such Civil 3D Experience in a consulting engineering environment an asset, but not required Experience with basic structural engineering, oil and gas design would be an asset, but not required High productivity, attention to detail, and effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to work well in a collaborative, team environment.
