You are looking for your role where you can apply your skills, share your knowledge, and continue to learn with support from skilled professionals.Binnie is looking for a Design Engineer to join our Burnaby Infrastructure Division, which delivers infrastructure planning, design and construction services for water, storm, sanitary, streets and transportation, and water resources assignments.This is a full-time position in our Burnaby office, located near Highway 1 and the Kensington Avenue Interchange near scenic Deer Lake.You will be working with our friendly and supportive team of experienced Project Managers, Designers, and Engineers on a wide range of capital municipal projects. We pride ourselves on our collaborative approach and offer an environment to flourish.YOUR ROLE:Preparing civil engineering design work, from the conceptual level through to detailed construction drawings using AutoCAD / Civil3DPreparing and reviewing design calculations in accordance with current standardsMaintaining design files with necessary calculations and documentationPreparing design reports, letters and technical memorandumsPerforming on-site inspection dutiesSupporting Project Managers with the delivery of assignmentsUndertaking quality control procedures and monitoring design standards on completed workDirecting staff involved with the design processWHAT YOU BRING:4-8 years of design experience in a civil consulting engineering environmentCompleted Degree in Civil Engineering and registration as a Registration as a P.Eng with EGBCValid Driver’s License and personal vehicle preferredStrong design, communication and time management skills and ability to work concurrently on several different projectsExcellent attention to detail to consistently produce accurate, high quality workAbility to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, other consultants and contractorsAbility to work cooperatively and productively in a team environmentABOUT BINNIE:We are the people behind the infrastructure you use every day.
