Looking for the next step in your career? Our Aviation team is seeking an Aviation Engineer, Intermediate to join our team in Mississauga.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with project engineers and other project team members on design, tender, and construction deliverables
  • Lead role in preliminary and detailed design of various airfield aviation projects
  • Quality checking of designs, drawings, quantity calculations, and specifications
  • Preparation of standard documentation – reports, specs, drawings, spreadsheets, letters, etc.
  • Use relevant software (e.g. MicroStation, AutoCAD, Excel, Civil 3D) in course of work
  • Use and become familiar with relevant standards covering aviation and airport environment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from accredited University
  • 3 - 7 years’ experience in an engineering consulting firm
  • Basic understanding of airports and aviation facilities would be an asset
  • Professional Engineering Designationwith PEO or eligible to obtain is required
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation
  • Knowledgeable of aerodrome codes and standards (TP312, ICAO Annex 14, FAA Advisory Circulars, etc.)
  • Strong desire to learn and involvement with large airfield design projects such as runways, taxiways, utilities, geometric layout, and pavement design
  • Experience in development of project layout and civil details and specifications
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are essential
  • Ability to work on several projects concurrently
  • Work collaboratively within in a multi-displinary environment to deliver the best solutions for our clients
  • Ability to solve problems, complete assigned tasks efficiently, and meet project deadlines
  • Must have a valid G driver's license within Ontario
  • Willing and able to travel to project sites (office and construction) including remote locations
