Partner Staffing is currently working with our client to find a talented and experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join their executive team and lead technological initiatives to new heights. Our client is a dynamic and innovative technology company based in Calgary, Alberta. you will be responsible for spearheading our technological vision, strategy, and execution in alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives. You will lead a team of skilled professionals in developing and implementing innovative solutions to drive growth, enhance efficiency, and maintain our competitive edge in the market.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive technology roadmap that aligns with the company's strategic objectives and ensures the scalability, security, and reliability of our systems and products.
  • Lead the research and development efforts to identify emerging technologies and trends that can be leveraged to enhance our offerings and maintain our position as a market leader.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and operations, to define requirements, prioritize initiatives, and deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the technology organization, encouraging creativity and empowering team members to take ownership of their work.
  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with external vendors, technology partners, and industry stakeholders to leverage resources, access new capabilities, and stay abreast of industry best practices.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance cybersecurity measures, data protection protocols, and regulatory compliance to safeguard our systems and mitigate potential risks.
  • Provide strategic guidance and technical expertise to senior leadership, advising on technology investments, market opportunities, and potential threats that may impact the business.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and benchmarks to track the effectiveness of technology initiatives and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Stay current with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in technology leadership, participating in professional development activities and networking opportunities to continuously enhance your knowledge and skills.
  • Represent the company in public forums, industry conferences, and networking events, serving as a thought leader and ambassador for our brand in the technology community.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; MBA or advanced technical certifications are a plus.
  • Proven track record of at least 10 years in technology leadership roles, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior executive position (e.g., CTO, VP of Engineering) preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Deep expertise in software development methodologies, cloud computing, infrastructure management, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate technical concepts into strategic business initiatives and drive alignment across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, influence stakeholders, and build consensus around technology decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects, budgets, and resources effectively, with a proven track record of delivering results on time and within budget.
  • Strategic thinker with a growth mindset, analytical mindset, and problem-solving abilities, capable of anticipating future challenges and opportunities and developing proactive solutions.
  • Passion for technology innovation, continuous learning, and driving positive change in the organization and industry.
