Position:
We are looking for an experienced
Chief Power Engineer
to join our team at our Trail Operations, one of the world's largest fully integrated zinc and lead smelting and refining complexes.
Location:
The role is based in the welcoming community of
Trail , located in the beautiful West Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia, offering a wide range of outdoor activities and a laid-back atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
Ensure safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all boilers, pressure vessels, refrigeration, and pressure piping
Maintain compliance with safety regulations and equipment standards
Provide technical expertise on steam distribution system
Coordinate external partners for plant shutdowns and projects
Contribute to cost control and budget monitoring
Qualifications:
- Achieved or working towards a First Class Power Engineer’s Certificate
- 5-10 years of experience in a related technical environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Salary Range:
$130,000 - $160,000
The base salary offered is determined based on relevant experience and competencies.
