This is a key role in establishing relationships with cross-functional teams, external stakeholders, and an ability to influence collaboratively while fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.Key responsibilities and oversight:• Oversee all aspects of financial management including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, taxation and treasury operations• Drive continuous improvement in financial process, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability• Lead strategic initiatives including mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, expansion opportunities, due diligence for key decision making• Spearhead digital transformation initiatives within the finance function, leveraging emerging technologies• Oversee and direct all payroll operations, compliance, and timeliness in processing• Foster a healthy environment of teamwork and collaboration• Manage internal and external relationships including shareholders, partnerships, financial institutions, auditors, and regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance and transparencyThe successful candidate will possess the following:• Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA)• 10+ years of experience including public accounting and industry experience• Strong financial acumen and problem-solving skills in building and developing• Track record of initiating and driving change, a curious mindset, and ownership of multiple deliverables, executing and leading teams and processes.• Passion for process and continuous improvement to support various initiatives• Currently in a leadership role with extensive people management experienceAll interested candidates should submit their résumé for consideration by applying directly to this posting or via email at careers@caconsultants.ca -- one of our consultants will contact you directly.
