Greater Miramichi Regional Service Commission Chief Executive OfficerAbout Us Formed in 2013, The Greater Miramichi Regional Service Commission is dedicated to planning, facilitating, and delivering services to the Greater Miramichi region. The Regional Service Delivery model stems from the Government of New Brunswick Action Plan for a New Local Governance System in New Brunswick (2011). The region contains five local governments (one city, one village and three rural communities), a large rural district, and three First Nation communities.Though not an exhaustive list, some desired outcomes of this model include:Increased collaboration and service sharing amongst communities;Stronger and more integrated planning on regional approaches to address public service needs; andReduced duplication through service delivery efficiencies. With three distinct cultures and three linguistic communities, the Greater Miramichi Region is multicultural and proud to welcome and promote diversity within the region.The Opportunity The Greater Miramichi Regional Services Commission (GMRSC) in New Brunswick seeks a dynamic and visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead and manage its operations. Reporting to the Board, the CEO will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, administration, and overall performance of the Commission, ensuring alignment with regional development goals and community needs. Key responsibilities include fostering relationships with municipal leaders, stakeholders, government agencies, and managing financial and human resources.Who You Are As an ideal candidate, you are an experienced leader with a demonstrated track record of success in a senior-level management role. You are solutions-oriented and possess the ability to translate our vision into common language in such a way that those following can relate to it. You are known as a steady hand while also being a transformational leader, seamlessly balancing stability with innovation. Your colleagues view you as an excellent collaborator who demonstrates diplomacy and integrity when addressing complex issues. You are an exceptional communicator and relationship builder, consistently exhibiting trust and confidence with both internal and external stakeholders.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in business, public administration, or related field.
