Location: Trenance Leisure Park, Newquay, Cornwall and with regular travel to Trust schools

Cornwall Education Learning Trust is seeking an outstanding CEO to deliver our mission to provide an excellent education for every child.
CELT was formed in 2019 from the merger of two existing and successful local multi-academy trusts – the Newquay Education Trust (NET) and Peninsula Learning Trust (PLT).
We have experienced significant growth since our creation in 2019 and are now looking to the future. At the heart of our vision for education is a self-improving school-led system which has the best evidence-led practice and in which every child thrives and achieves through the opportunities provided.This is a learning community in which:

We are seeking a CEO with a strong belief in, and commitment to, the Trust’s vision and values, able to demonstrate them daily throughout every aspect of the role and refresh and re-articulate them as the Trust evolves and grows.
We view ourselves not as multiple schools under one Trust but as one Trust set over multiple sites, meaning we all share collective responsibility for every child and young person in our schools.
As CEO, the successful candidate will work closely with the Board and wider Trust leadership to develop, renew and implement our Trust strategy, including future growth.
We require someone able to function at both a local and national level as an excellent ambassador for CELT through our engagement with a wide range of partners, and with our school communities.
Able to inspire and motivate others, even when things are tough, the CEO will build and develop the central team and provide leadership for our professional community of teachers and leaders, with a commitment to development and research.
The CEO will value and support rigour, efficiency and ongoing development of finance, IT, estates and other operational services, and is constantly looking for opportunities for innovation and improvement.
