The Chief Accountant is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations of the Hotel and plaza. Additionally, responsible for financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audit and control, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash control. This is a hands-on financial position requiring flexibility and an ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Responsible for the property's overall accounting (accounts payable, receivables, payroll liaison with head office, etc).
  • Responsible for preparing and reviewing annual budgets, monthly P&Ls, and balance ledgers.
  • Responsible for verifying all financial reports and ensuring that all transactions are accurate and in compliance with local government regulations.
  • Able to ensure a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard hotel assets.
  • Able to proactively assist with cost control requirements and revenue enhancement possibilities.
  • Work closely with all departments in assisting with financial aspects, and assisting with the hotel when needed.
  • Monitors tax compliance, and ensures that taxes are charged correctly and collected, files the local tax with the concerned authority on a monthly/regular basis.
  • Able to perform any other tasks as and when required by the management.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of accounting and finance experience, preferably in the hotel industry.
  • Proficient in current accounting and tax standards.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills across various hotel departments.
  • Ability to independently problem solve and make decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with proficiency in numerical data management.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and spreadsheets.
