We are a general contractor specializing in commercial, industrial and institutional construction and renovation. We carry out numerous public and private projects. We are constantly expanding our team and our clientele and are currently looking for a project manager to join our team.
Job Description:
As a project manager, you will supervise several construction projects for the public and private sectors. You will work alongside engineers, architects and other professionals to ensure the completion of projects and customer satisfaction.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Project coordination (submission, execution, completion) ;
- Creation, planning, supervision and implementation of the project files ;
- Planning and monitoring the progress of work (schedules) ;
- Preparation of budgets, purchase orders and subcontracting ;
- Interpretation and understanding of plans and specifications ;
- Site visits to construction sites in progress (planning and purchasing specific equipment, developing contractual strategies) ;
- Preparation, negotiation and approval of documents related to current projects (notice of change, deficiency, statement, delivery memo, shop drawing, etc.) ;
- Planning, coordination and meeting with subcontractors ;
- Processing and approval of invoices from suppliers and subcontractors for current projects ;
- Analysis of the progress of work (Make and follow up on payment requests) ;
- Constant verification of compliance with standards and laws in force (permits, licenses, provisional acceptance of work, end of contract, etc.) ;
- Closing of files at the end of the project.
Who we are looking for:
- Bilingual in French and English, both reading and writing ;
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project managing commercial, industrial and institutional construction and renovation ;
- College or university diploma ;
- Strong management, planning, leadership and organizational skills ;
- Experience in estimating renovation and new construction projects ;
- A solid understanding of all construction trades and construction materials, methods and techniques ;
- Ability to understand and interpret drawings and specifications (Architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural, etc.) ;
- Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel is essential ;
- Experience with the application Estimateur, Gestionnaire and E-Plans application considered an asset.
