Our Clientprides themselves on not just handling claims, but crafting resolutions! They are seeking an experienced and collaborative Claims Adjuster to join the team.This position will be handling a majority of casualty claims (slip and falls) as well as some auto and accident benefit claims. Their mission is to deliver top-tier customer service from start to finish, weaving through the intricacies of loss investigation, coverage evaluation, claim negotiation, and ultimate settlement.Responsibilities include but are not limited toCoverage determination, investigation, negotiation, and settlement of claimsTimely and effective contact with insureds, third parties, adjusters, and lawyers in order to establish a right and equitable settlement.Clear and concise communication with all involved partiesParticipate in mediations, hearings & trials(occasional travel may be required)Maintaining awareness and understanding of current case law and coverage trendsRegular exchange of information/communication between departments as it pertains to the risk.Required qualificationsAt least 5 years experience in a similar roleAn intuitive mindExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent time management, prioritization, organizational and planning skills requiredAbility to problem solve, self-motivated and work independently but able to collaborate in a team environmentGood knowledge of anatomy, physiologyExtensive knowledge of Legal & Arbitration systemPost Secondary Education preferredCompletion of CIP designation or similar would be an assetThis is a hybrid opportunity with flexibility in hours (providing there is coverage during core hours) so dont miss out!If you meet or exceed these requirements and qualifications, please contact Affia at 778-383-9790, x 104 or email your resume in confidence to affia@dgacareers.com.
