Business System Analyst - Document Management Services

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business System Analyst specializing in customer interviews to gather insights into the document management services utilized in their products. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth interviews with customers, analyzing their responses, and presenting comprehensive reports that provide actionable recommendations to enhance our document management services. Your role will be critical in shaping our product strategy and improving customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Interviews: Initiate and conduct structured interviews with existing customers to understand their utilization of document management services within their products. Build rapport, ask probing questions, and guide conversations to uncover valuable insights.
  • Requirements Gathering: Elicit detailed customer requirements regarding their document management needs, challenges, and preferences. Translate these requirements into clear and concise documentation.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze interview data to identify trends, common pain points, and opportunities for improvement in our document management services. Use qualitative and quantitative methods to extract meaningful insights.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Engineering, and User Experience to ensure that customer insights are effectively communicated and integrated into product development processes.
  • Report Creation: Prepare comprehensive reports that summarize interview findings, highlighting key takeaways, patterns, and customer preferences related to document management services. Create visually engaging presentations to effectively communicate complex information.
  • Recommendations: Provide actionable recommendations based on interview findings to enhance our document management services' quality, functionality, and user experience. Help prioritize feature development and improvements based on customer needs.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of customer interviews, requirements, and analysis results. Ensure that information is easily accessible to internal stakeholders.
  • Industry Research: Stay updated with industry trends and best practices related to document management services, enabling you to provide informed insights to both customers and internal teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a technology or software development environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to conduct compelling interviews, engage customers, and extract valuable information.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency in creating clear and impactful reports and presentations using tools like Microsoft Office or similar applications.
  • Familiarity with document management systems, services, and related technologies.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with ECM technologies in the market, like NexGen, Nuxeo, Kofax, etc.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
