Challenging the norm and innovating better methods is core to our approach.The CAD Drafter will aid in the development of scaled design plans with grading, paving, drainage and other related engineering materials as part of contract engineering drawings.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Have a working knowledge of CAD standards, Civil 3D features and annotation styles, line styles, sheet set manager and drawing setupGeneral understanding of survey practices, including georeferencing utilizing grid/groundDemonstrated proficiency in the development of 2D civil design drawings and a working knowledge of 3D design conceptsExperience working with engineers and senior designersTypical Design will Consist of:Under limited supervision, uses CAD programs and tools to capture, create, update and maintain design data; interprets and clarifies engineer redlines, design notes, and as-built drawings; ensures the completeness and accuracy of all work completedMust be able to modify existing drawings to minimize the need to create new drawings and create new drawings when necessary, in a timely fashion, which meet internal standardsUnderstand & meet project schedule, and quality requirements with accuracy and efficiencySelf-checks all work performed to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to internal reviewActively assist in the delivery of a complete project. This may include phone or e-mail correspondence, attending meetings, and other project documents required for project completionEducationCompletion of technical school with CAD design certificate or associate degree or equivalent experience in Engineering field desireExperience Required2 or more years of AutoCAD and engineering design with a professional civil design / consulting firm or comparable experienceExposure to steel, concrete, and mechanical design preferredQualifications RequiredAbility to read and interpret drawings, construction, and civil plansUnderstanding of engineering principles and assembly, fabrication, and construction workflowsKnowledge of project management software and computer applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ProcoreOrganized team player with a willingness to learn and expand capabilitiesGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work in a fast–paced environment dedicated to meeting deadlinesEOE, including disability/vets
