Leading with innovative product lines and top-notch service are what separates us from our competition.Our Delta Storage Products division is seeking a full-time CAD Designer to join our Engineering and Design team! The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience designing customized racking parts and systems, experience using AutoCAD, and a post-secondary diploma in Computer Aided Design. A Typical Day:As CAD Designer, you will be responsible for producing accurate drawings, and layouts for our clients and inspecting custom designed racking systems onsite. This includes collaborating closely with our Engineering and Installation teams to identify and troubleshoot design issues and ensure compliance with industry standards. Everyday will be filled with variety! Requirements:A post-secondary diploma in Civil Structural Architectural Drafting from an accredited educational institution2 years+ experience using AutoCAD to design selective/push-back/drive-in racking systems2 years+ experience designing customized racking parts to fit various racking systems2 years+ experience working with forklifts as they relate to the design of a wire guidance system, and forklift interfaces for custom racking systems2 years+ experience inspecting custom designed selective/push-back/drive-in racking systems, while working under the guidance of a BC-registered Structural EngineerExperience with torque specifications, embedment, clearance issues as related to engineering requirements and the BCBC 2018 and BCBC 2024Previous experience using a micrometer to identify and record used racking systemsValid Class 5 driver’s license with personal vehicle to travel throughout BC to perform inspection workIntermediate experience with Microsoft Products is required (Outlook, Excel and Word) Language of work is English, and the ideal candidate has excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong multi-tasking ability while maintaining a high degree of accuracyProven strong detail oriented skillsPerks:Competitive salary and benefitsExtensive in-house trainingExtended health benefits package including health, dental, critical illness, life insurance, travel insurance, and more; with premiums paid by ArpacRRSP matchingDisability benefits package paid by employeesSocial events, an established reward & recognition programs and much more!Please apply in confidence by sending your resume to hr@arpac.ca , or by applying directly on our website: https://www.arpac.ca/about/careersArpac is an equal opportunity employer.
