Job Description

Qualifications:A recognized degree or diploma in an engineering field (P.Eng. qualified preferred)Proficiency in Autodesk software, Revit and AutoCAD, preferably practical work experience in 2D/3D mechanical designKnowledge of industry/regulatory codes and standardsComputer skills (MS Office, CAD, Windows…)Excellent communication skills (Oral and Written)Excellent work ethicResponsibilities:Prepares and/or develops 2D/3D process piping, HVAC, and Structure/Architecture drawings from design concepts by senior designer/engineer within the discipline or from design documents of the front-end disciplines.Prepares portions of 3D Revit design model with no supervision (ability to field check and revise model/drawings accordingly)Reviews checks and incorporate design models, drawings and design documents prepared by others in the team.Prepares quantity takeoffs from the drawings and generate material list in communications with supervisor.Is responsible for the accuracy of 3D model, as built model and of the 2D drawings generated from 3D model.Works with designers in other disciplines in the overall assignment to coordinate designs.May develop work plans and schedules for basic designer tasks based on input and direction from supervisor in designated discipline when assigned.Compiles, maintains, and accesses job drawing files, records, and drawing controls, as instructed.Participates in and support a work environment that is based upon openness, trust, honest, communication, teamwork, innovation, and satisfaction.
