Third Dimension Millwork is looking for a Cabinet Installer to join our team.

We specialize in grocery store interior fit outs. The vast majority of our work is renovations and requires our work to be completed on NIGHT SHIFT. This role also requires travel to different site locations but all expenses, lodging and travel costs are covered by the company.

Installation of the following materials is required on a regular basis:

  • Wall Protection - plywood, plastic laminate, aluminum trims, ABS trim

  • Fascia (running trims to display pricing on) - Plywood brackets, MDF or melamine faces, various fillers

  • Custom fillers, displays and shelving

  • Customer service desks

  • Washroom vanities

  • Kitchenettes

  • Office counters and cabinets

  • Installation of owner supplied kiosks - pharmacies, banks, coffee shops, mobile phone retailers, ect.

  • Installation of owner supplied decor packages.

  • Installation of strut to support hanging decor items

 

We expect the successful applicants to have the ability to

  • complete projects on time regardless of jobsite challenges

  • coordinate with the GC's representative on site to facilitate efficient nightly progress

  • follow TDM site schedules and provide feedback to adjust the schedule to accommodate site conditions

  • coordinate with TDM project manager and shop personnel to have materials delivered to site as required to meet project schedules

  • lead a crew consisting of 2 - 4 people of varying skill levels

  • provide guidance and basic training to inexperience employees

 

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to;

  • Conducting yourself in a professional, courteous manner at all times

  • Working as a part of a team or individually as required

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints/drawings

  • Ability to quickly learn and operate the technology/software in use by TDM

  • Learn and utilize TDM work procedures

  • Install millwork fabricated by TDM as well as packages supplied by the client

  • Ensure all safety standards are adhered to

  • Ensure TDM quality control standards are met

  • Extensive tool knowledge including proper uses, care and maintenance of most power and hand tools associated with our trade

  • Provide a base of personal tools in addition to the tools provided by TDM

  • Provide your own PPE

  • Working nights, potentially weekends and be available for overtime when required

  • Ability to get yourself to work sites in Calgary and surrounding areas

  • Working out of town, throughout Western Canada and the territories for periods of up to 6 weeks

 

Additional information;

WHIMIS certification is mandatory

Additional certifications such as first aid, fall arrest, aerial lift operation and fork lift operation may be required to undertake some of our job tasks. If the applicant does not posses these certifications TDM can assist with training.

Wages based on individual experience.
