I am currently supporting one of my clients specializing in renewable energy. Located in Ville Saint-Laurent, this company is looking for an Industrial Buyer.
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the person will be responsible for all major projects.
● Act as liaison between Purchasing, Tenders and Project Management.
● Participate in tender launch and execution meetings to identify key procurement interventions.
● Compile a list of preferred suppliers to promote the use of framework agreements by sales and quotation teams.
● Comparative analysis of offers and purchasing recommendations.
● Search for alternative, cost-effective suppliers
● Participate in the negotiation of regional framework agreements
● Management of Corporate Purchasing requests;
● Participate in US purchasing coordination meetings
● Preparation of monthly reporting and purchasing KPIs
● Carry out price requests, negotiations and order generation ;
● Ensure supplier qualification and evaluation ;
● Perform daily follow-up activities;
● Negotiate commercial and legal contractual clauses
● Manage supplier complaints, deficiencies and non-conformities ;
● Identify and correct problems raised by bidding and execution ;
● Bachelors degree in supply chain or related field preferred.
● 5 to 10 years in the purchasing field.
● Previous experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment is a plus.
● Experience with MRP using an integrated ERP system is a plus.
● Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
