Summary of the opportunity- Client Overview: Microsoft Research Montréal is a research lab embedded in a large technology company setting. It focuses on advancing scientific discovery and technology innovation in Artificial Intelligence, in collaboration with the academic community.- Role Summary: As the Business Program Manager, you will work closely with lab leaders to drive operational excellence, refine business practices, and ensure a positive employee experience. You will collaborate with peers in other locations to share best practices and implement MSR-wide goals. 4. What are the key responsibilities?- Confer with lab leadership to create project plans within resource management and compliance programs.- Focus on recruiting and procurement, addressing specialized needs of Microsoft Research labs.- Foster and manage cross-departmental stakeholder relationships, particularly with IT and Facilities.- Support project-based requests and participate in special projects with other Microsoft Research labs. 5. What experience are we looking for to drive success?- MUST-Have Skills and Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, Finance or related field AND 6+ years of work experience in program/project management, process management, Operations, Finance or related fields- 2 years demonstrated experience managing cross-departmental relationships within a large-scale organization- Business-level fluency in French and English- Preferred Skills and Qualifications:- PMI or PMP certification- Agility in navigating complexities of large-scale, matrixed organizations- Work or educational experience in an academic environment- Ability to establish rapport quickly and persuade multiple stakeholders with diverse working styles & perspectives- Ability to work under ambiguity without local supervision- Highly collaborative problem-preventing and problem-solving skills- Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks and projects in parallel- Knowledge of the Montreal business ecosystem or similar urban business landscapes- Knowledge of immigration visa and work permit process 6.
