Job Overview

The Business Process Analyst is responsible for supporting process projects by identifying areas of improvement in current business processes, creating new strategies and collaborating with stakeholders to gain alignment on current state and future state processes within business units or cross-functionally.

Hours

  • 37.5 hours/week
  • 8:00 to 4:30 Monday to Friday (flex options available)
  • Hybrid – 3 days per week required in office

Responsibilities

Process Improvement

  • Analyze, improve and streamline business processes and procedures by identifying inefficiencies and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Create and implement business processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and execute process improvements that are aligned with organizational goals.
  • Conduct process audits to review and evaluate the effectiveness of current processes, changes and updates, measuring KPI’s and adjusting for continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunity areas for process improvement and work with the Business Leads to deliver the ROI.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and other stakeholders to document current and future state processes and obtain sign-off.
  • Provide input and support for training and implementation.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to all business areas to ensure consistent processes and tools are being used across the organization for documentation.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies and process improvement methodologies.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to manage process documentation for all areas of the business working within the gating system on the Project Management SharePoint site.
  • Support project discovery work by conducting feasibility studies and/or business analysis pertaining to the creation of business cases.
  • Identify, analyze and document business requirements for project implementations using information gathering techniques such as interviews, job shadowing, etc.
  • Support with the creation and monitoring of benefits realization plans.

Maintenance

  • Maintain and update all existing process documentation in the SharePoint repository.
  • Ensure SOPs are updated if required, and training is planned with the People & Culture team.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

Education in Business or related field.

Project Management Certification considered an asset.

Skills:
