Role DescriptionBaytex has a full-time onsite opportunity for a Business Intelligence Analyst in the Calgary, Alberta office. The role will be primarily focused on supporting operations’ business processes and the development of business intelligence end-user tools. They will also perform business analysis tasks to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business decisions. The successful candidate is an effective communicator with a continuous improvement mindset and strong attention to detail.Responsibilities· Developing data solutions to address operations pain points · Supporting business improvement initiatives and corporate one source of truth reporting· Building skills and knowledge of operations team end users with improved access to data· End-to-end development cycle of PowerBI reporting to meet operations requirements· Participate in the design, development, training and testing of data models· Ensuring corporate data governance and change management processes are followed and improved· Collaborating with business intelligence, operations and IS teams· Provide support for PowerBI, Power Automate and Power Apps· Facilitating business user acceptance and adoption· Ownership of day-to-day tasks and projects as neededQualifications· 3+ years experience with data analytics with energy industry experience· Degree or technical diploma in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field· Analytical skills, data modeling, data visualization, reporting and dashboard creation abilities· Experience with Business Intelligence Tools (PowerBI, PowerApps etc.)· SQL knowledge and proficiency with data queries· Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with a continuous improvement mindset· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks· Excellent communication and presentation skillsIf you are qualified and interested in applying for this position, please submit your resume indicating the job title and job code LL008-4 by Tuesday, May 21, 2024, to resumes@baytexenergy.com
