The Business Insights Analyst will provide insightful and fact-based solutions to determine category strategies and opportunities by working collaboratively with cross functional teams across the organization.As a Business Insights Analyst we are also looking to you to uncover insights, opportunities, market insights, industry trends, support Internal Sales/Client teams to accelerate client /overall business growth, support analytical ad-hoc deep dive requests with recommendations to grow the category(ies) and Acosta’s business overall.The incumbent(s) in this position should exhibit the following Acosta values:People Minded – Must show dignity and respect to all peopleIntegrity – Must exemplify the highest degree of ethical behaviorResults Oriented – Must show passion, pride and commitment to succeedTrust – Must be honest, sincere, and confidentTeamwork – Must build trusting relationshipsInnovation – Must progress through a combination of creativity, common sense, and visionBalance – Must maintain an optimistic attitude and keep perspective on what is important in life.Essential Functions:Support internal Sales/external client team with fact-based insights that will foster achievement of overall goals/strategies and initiativesUncover insights and sales opportunities that will accelerate growth Client/Retailer/Acosta overall growthCommunicate with confidence (oral & written) and adaptability at all levels (internal/external) to get clear and concise messaging acrossDevelop and maintain effective working relationships with team members, internal partners, customers and others through the use of strong interpersonal skills.Utilize rigorous logic and methods to analyze and understand why problems occur.Support with shelf presentation, assortment decisions and promotional planning/pricing analysisCoordinate with respective areas to resolve issues and develop processes to accomplish shared goals.Effectively deal with change in a fast-paced demanding environment while maintaining a positive and cooperative attitude.Other duties as assignedQualifications:Post-secondary education or work experience equivalent – Business Diploma or Degree preferred and proven CPG related experienceBachelor’s DegreeCertificate from a Business Analysis accreditation institution preferred, but not required.Experience in category management and proficiency using various POS, data tools to interpret large quantities of data for insights High-level analytical capabilityAssimilating and interpreting data from different data sources into clear-concise action-oriented recommendationsStrong proficiency in Nielsen Market Track, IRI, FCL, JDA (Blue Yonder), Excel & PowerPointExperience at working independently and in a team environment.Commitment to solving problems with a positive attitudeKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:Strong proficiency in MS office (Excel, PowerPoint)Strong proficiency in Nielsen Market Track, IRI, LDIA, FCL, JDA (Blue Yonder), Excel & PowerPointStrong verbal & written communication skills.Ability to shift priorities, demands, and timelines in a fast-paced environment with a cooperative attitudeSolid knowledge of current Internet, Intranet, Extranet, and client server architectures, including Share Point.Acosta/ Mosaic North America is an Equal Opportunity EmployerThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
