DescriptionThe primary role of this position is to assist Del Norte Credit Union in living out its mission of improving lives as a financial cooperative by possessing a passionate devotion to providing outstanding and empathetic service to Del Norte Credit Union members. Exemplify Del Norteno Pride to live with character, feel with empathy, and act with passion; a key component of this is to identify the financial needs of the member and recommend an appropriate credit union solution. This position serves as a brand representative within the local community to promote the benefits of Del Norte Credit Union, while supporting strategic growth of the business and pursuing opportunities for ongoing acquisition of new members, loans and deposit accounts. Represents Del Norte Credit Union at community and member events and business development activities. Coordinates and implements programs and initiative designed to increase membership. Manages individual sales efforts to entire Del Norte Credit Union footprint to include Santa Fe, Espanola, White Rock, Espanola and Rio Rancho. Directly responsible for the solicitation of existing member relationships while seeking referrals and prospects in the communities we serve in.Salary:The salary range for this position is $69,333.89 to $86,667.36. New hires typically brought into the organization at a rate between the range minimum and the range maximum, depending on the qualifications, internal equity and the budgeted amount for the role.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Conducts informational presentations to group of prospective members, provides ongoing resources and material to members and to educate and grow membership.Maintain a strong community presence and build brand awareness through on-site business events, networking, and other business outreach activities.Develop promotional strategies to increase utilization of credit union products and services among existing members; work with the Marketing Department to develop promotional materials for distribution to members and employee groups.Make recommendations to VP Community Relations regarding possible new activities designed to increase membership and product/service/delivery channel usage.Build and maintain a positive Credit Union image with the Credit Unions existing, potential membership, and the community. Stay informed on major community development issues that potentially affect our membership and the communities we serve.Assist branch management in the developing and maintaining relationships with established membership.Recruitment and support activities, campaigns, and promotions for work place banking events at our business members place of business.Create and support Credit Union visibility in the community by volunteering, attending events, participating on committees and boards.Support Credit Union marketing campaigns and other initiatives.Present education seminars on financial literacy and support the Credit Union’s efforts in delivering information seminars.Other job related duties as assigned.RequirementsExperience:Three years to five years of similar or related experience.Education:(1) A two year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in house training or apprenticeship program. Interpersonal Skills:Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating, influencing or training others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.Other Skills:Proven record to meet objectives through development of leads and sales strategy implementation.Must be self-motivated and goal-driven.Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.Adequate knowledge of financial products and services.Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs; able to stand or sit for long periods of time.Work Environment:Travel required to meet qualifications of the position - must have reliable transportation. Work involves both outdoor and indoor work environments.
