We are now looking for a Business Development Manager who will not only work with our existing lead pipeline but also map, identify, prioritize, and pursue business opportunities with new customer prospects securing future business across the CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industry. In this position, you will actively participate in the creation of the go to market account plan for strategic initiatives aligned with Tetra Pak marketing, portfolio, and customer business objectives. Collaboration will be key, not only with your immediate team, but with cross-functional areas as Packaging Co-manufacturing, Inside Sales, Customer Services & Design, Product Development Center, Services, Processing Solutions & Equipment (PS&E), and Marketing & Product Management (M&PM) and Communication. You can be based either in our office in Denton, TX or in Vernon Hills, IL or Toronto, Canada. You will be travelling up to 75% of your time to our customer sites. Tetra Pak is not considering applicants (Internal or External) who require international relocation to the United States. What you will do

As a Business Development Manager, you will: Drive the creation of a “go to market” strategy to target key customers in strategic categories. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and lead generation. Work with a variety of different product categories, target consumers, companies, and startups. Understand customer business strategies including financial performance, business operations, decision timeline, target customers and translate their needs into tangible solution requirements. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients including physical visits to customers. Build and maintain strong relationship with different areas on customer side (Marketing, Operations, Procurement, Contract Manufacturing). Track and report sales evolution and performance metrics, providing regular updates to management. Work jointly with internal teams (Marketing, Portfolio, CoManufacturing, Processing, Services) to ensure seamless delivery of products or services to clients. Understand our product portfolio for Packaging Material, Processing equipment and Services as value added enablers. Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, NDA’s and contract negotiations. Understand Tetra Pak’s future strategy and how to deploy in the daily activities. Coordinate all administrative activities related to order management, design administration. Co-plan with prospects to secure a 3-month forecasting visibility. Collaborate with different departments for forecasting purposes. Secure on time and in full transition of accounts to other areas of Sale’s management or Key Accounts once hand off of the account has been approved. We believe you have

A bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or an engineering field. At least 8 years of solutions-based or value-based sales experience as well as good understanding of technical sales. A strong hunter mentality with a focus to uncover new business opportunities. Confident, resilient, and clear communication skills with energy and drive. A strong presence, prepared to be accountable and have a strong disciplined work ethic. Demonstrable ability to strategically target prospects of all sizes, build strong pipelines and win business. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A deeper understanding of the CPG, fMCG, food & beverage or other consumer-based industry in the US market. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software. A strong financial understanding and commercial acumen including knowledge of pricing strategy and category management.
