Business Development Manager Toronto or East Coast References number: #2036The OpportunityWe are currently seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team at IES. The BDM will play a crucial role in driving sales and revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and building and maintaining relationships with clients. As part of the IES team, the BDM will promote the IES Virtual Environment (IESVE) suite to potential customers, focusing on architects, engineers, and building owners.Key Responsibilities of the BDM:Identify and cultivate new business opportunities in the building industry.Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to promote the IESVE suite.Provide product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients.Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and competitive offerings.The CandidateEssential Skills:Proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably in the building industry or software sales.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of sustainable design principles and building performance analysis.Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.Desirable Skills:Familiarity with energy modeling software such as IES VE.Membership in or working towards relevant accreditations (e.g., CIBSE, ASHRAE, etc.).Membership in or working towards relevant accreditations (e.g., CIBSE, ASHRAE, etc.).Familiarity with voluntary environmental rating schemes such as LEED, BREEAM, NABERS, etc.Familiarity with Construction Codes (NECB, ASHRAE, Etc)Awareness of digital technologies within the construction sector.The RewardsIn return, we offer the opportunity to work for a dynamic company in an exciting and supportive environment.
