Job title: Business Development Executive

Location: Kings Langley, Hertfordshire

As a Business Development Executive at Pickfords, your primary goal is to identify and develop opportunities with prospects and customers for our sales team to quote for both existing and new services as we launch them.

You will be responsible for generating new business by reaching out to prospective clients through calls, emails, and LinkedIn.

Key responsibilities:

  • Proactively contact all assigned sales leads within set timelines.
  • Respond professionally to all incoming enquiries via Live Chat, web, or phone.
  • Log all activities, including calls, appointments, and tasks, into our CRM system.
  • Clarify customers’ buying criteria and requirements through effective questioning.
  • Provide preliminary pricing to gauge customer reaction and estimated budget.
  • Introduce affiliate services where appropriate.
  • Follow up on all enquiries to conclusion and maintain accurate records in our CRM.
  • Assist with any data entry tasks as needed.
  • Support general administrative duties as required.
  • Accompany consultants and attend events when appropriate.

To succeed in this role, you will need to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for appointments and opportunities, consistently capture all necessary information to ensure alignment between the salesperson and the customer, accurately manage and input data into our CRM system, and achieve pre-agreed numbers of weekly and monthly sales activities.

Skills, knowledge and experience:

You should possess a combination of relevant skills, knowledge, and experience. Here are the key attributes we are looking for:

  • Ideally, 2 years of tele-marketing or sales experience.
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in PC use, especially with Word and Excel.

  • Commercial awareness and attention to detail.
