Adecco in partnership with our client's luxury events team are seeking a full-time strategic and results-driven Business Development Director/Manager to lead their efforts in expanding market presence, driving revenue growth, and forging strong relationships with key stakeholders.
The Business Development Director/Manager will be responsible for:
- Identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities
- Leading the business development team
- Developing and executing strategies that align with the company's growth objectives
You will play a key role in shaping our luxury events portfolio, which includes exclusive events at top-tier venues such as hotels, art museums, yachts, and other prestigious locations. Responsibilities:
- Lead business development efforts, focusing on luxury events in Toronto.
- Develop and execute strategies to expand our market presence and drive revenue growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, leveraging your network to open doors and secure high-profile partnerships.
- Work closely with the events team in Toronto and Singapore to plan and execute top-tier events.
- Coordinate with the production staff and creativity team to ensure flawless execution.
- Oversee event budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize profitability.
- Engage in networking events, industry committees, and cold calling to identify new business opportunities.
- Represent the company as a brand ambassador in the luxury market.
- Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activities.
- Provide market insights to guide business strategies and identify new opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada.
- 10-15 years of experience in the events industry, with a strong focus on the Toronto market.
- Knowledge of venues, suppliers, hotels, and event production is essential.
- A significant network in high-end markets, such as luxury watches, is highly desirable.
- Active participation in industry events and committees is a plus.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, plan events, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Professional, driven, and strategic, with a keen interest in luxury events.
- A strong business acumen and ability to think creatively in problem-solving.
