Position Title:BusinessData Systems Analyst (1 or more)Location:Edmonton, AB (remote)Type:ContractPLEASE NOTE ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE LEGALLY ENTITLED TO WORK AND RESIDE IN CANADA**PositionOur Edmonton client is looking to fill a remote contract Business Data Systems Analyst. You are responsible for the understanding and application of information consumer business and data requirements and objectives and the communication of this information between the project’s leadership team, technical leaders where applicable and business stakeholders.You are responsible for in depth gathering and maintenance of information/data requirements; the affinity analysis of these requirements; the investigation of source data system business processes; and the cross reference to solution components under consideration by the project. You work with the project solution architect and project manager as the collective point of contact for how, where, and why business stakeholders use data and information.You will investigate data source as it pertains to business practices and downstream information management solution information needs; and manage the concerns raised by business as it pertains to project development and collaborate with client relationship personnel to ensure client needs are met within the project framework.You will also apply standards and practices of traditional business analysts, coupled with systems analysis; and data management. Beyond information management build activities, you will also engage in research, strategic analysis, and management documentation.What You’ll DoLiaise with business management and representatives to understand information needs as they relate to business objects and challenges. Gather information needs and document this information within the project Traceability Matrix. Investigation and business profiling of data sources as they pertain to business data, information and or analytic needs. Liaise between business, solution architects and where applicable technical team leadership. Author all requirements documentation. Perform quality assurance on assigned documentation. Coordinate version control on all assigned project document deliverables. Coordinate assigned deliverable socialization and approvals. Participate in the development and execution of communication materials. Participate in the development of training materials. Maintain the traceability matrix throughout the life cycle of the project. Where applicable support the gathering and maintenance of business metadata. Participate as a tester, organization change management, and or communications specialist as the needs dictate.Mandatories (must Have To Qualify)A minimum of 5 years experience as a Business Analyst or Business Data Systems Analyst A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, such as business administration / commerce, information technology, economics Demonstrated Technical writing ability. Stellar interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate and work closely with the project’s leadership team, technical leaders where applicable and business stakeholders. Demonstrated analytical skills to collect, interpret and present data usiness various tools and methods. Problem solving skills for the identification and solving of problems that affect business performance and efficiency.
