JOB TITLE: Business Analyst

Estimated duration: 01 July 2024 to 30 June 2026

Location: Fredericton, NB

Requirements

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

  • University Degree in either Healthcare, Business Administration or Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst (or equivalent) responsible for requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, use case analysis, business process analysis, detailed design activities, and developing business analysis documentation.
  • 3 years of demonstrated full-time experience in health information systems and/or healthcare operations.
  • Limit vendor submissions to 2.
  • The candidate must be available to start work on or about the date specified in Section 8 of the SOW.

Scored Requirements

  • 3 years of Demonstrated experience with clinical business analysis in one or more of the following: computerized provider order entry (CPOE), order sets, clinical documentation, ancillary services (Pharmacy, Medical Imaging, Laboratory) are strongly preferred.
  • 3 years of Leadership experience on clinical information solution implementation project(s) with specific experience leading teams through the design and build of one or more of the following: computerized provider order entry (CPOE), order sets, clinical documentation, ancillary services (Pharmacy, Medical Imaging, Laboratory).
  • 5 years of Demonstrated experience working with a high level of self-direction, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to confidently engage and collaborate with project team members, subject matter experts, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • 3 years of Demonstrated experience working with multiple stakeholders and leading teams supporting more than one project stream/activity at a time. Lead experience in management of healthcare initiatives with a specific focus on CIS implementation and/or clinical standardization.
  • 3 years of Experience as a regulated health care provider in an operational role.
  • 1 years of Demonstrated expertise employing project management tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • 3 years of Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams) in the work environment.
  • Verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills in both French and English is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience working within public health authorities, showcasing a strong understanding of the public healthcare landscape, policies, and practices.

Deliverables:

The successful proponents must deliver the following, to successfully complete the engagement:

  • Work with clients and internal teams to define and establish workstream scope and requirements, create solutions, and develop an executable plan, accounting for resource needs, and timelines.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration with stakeholders at various levels, including clinicians, IT teams, healthcare administrators, and regulatory bodies.
  • Drive structure and content for workstream status meetings with key client stakeholders.
  • Report status and progress of assigned activities to program management as required.
  • Identify potential risks and anticipated points of resistance and develop specific plans to mitigate or address concerns.
  • Facilitate requirements sessions with clinical stakeholders resulting in standards or protocols for clinical documentation, and workflow as required.
  • Collaborate with clinical experts to gather input and insights for the development and refinement of clinical standards.
  • Design and develop facilitation sessions to validate the existing requirements and collect net new business and information technology requirement, including gap analysis.
  • Create and maintain detailed process and solution documentation, including workflows, use cases, user guides, and training materials, to ensure seamless adoption of clinical standards.
  • Other roles, tasks and duties as assigned.
