On behalf of our North Vancouver client, Affinity is seeking Business Analysts with experience in HR, Finance or Payroll ERP module implementation for a long term hybrid contract.

Services Required:

  • Prepare functional, non-functional and technical specifications.
  • Participate in data cleansing, mapping and migration activities.
  • Support the QA approach by preparing test cases, test data, test scripts through multiple, hands-on testing cycles.

  • Prepare all knowledge transfer document and conduct knowledge transfer sessions to the DTS operations teams.
  • Prepare training materials and deliver training using multiple modalities outlined in the training plan.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with project team members, peers, stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Facilitate and contribute to project communications.
  • Deliver project activities against the schedule/backlog, identifies conflicts, delays, and dependencies for escalation to the Project Manager
  • Ensures an awareness of, and adherence to, the project Governance Plan.
  • Escalates to the Project Manager risks and issues that have the potential to impact
  • the project’s success.

Experience analyzing and documenting business processes:

  • Coordinate, facilitate and document discovery workshops to identify key business processes (current state).
  • Coordinate, facilitate and document workshops to identify and design future state business processes.
  • Document business processes using Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN) and process narratives, including business rules, constraints, actors, opportunities, etc.
  • Prepare all project documentation in accordance with project standards, tools and templates.

Experience with requirements gathering, user stories, and use cases:

  • Work with SMEs to capture requirements using a structured process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes) to reflect business priorities and recommend options.
  • Work in collaboration with project team members to design, develop and deliver solutions through creating user stories, use cases, and hands-on business process validation activities.
  • Experience in developing Use Cases, User Stories, and business process validation techniques.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in the related field.
  • CBAP or PMI-PBA preferred.
  • Experience working within the BC Post-Secondary Sector is highly preferred.
  • Experience working on ERP implementation projects, particularly Workday, is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with hybrid project work allocation/management.
  • Strong forward thinking, analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate among diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to coordinate, prioritize and complete multiple tasks.
  • Exceptional MS Office skills, including Microsoft Visio
  • Experience working on a digital transformation project.
