Responsibilities

ABOUT THE JOB:

The aim of Global Banking Technology & Operations (GBTO) Canada is to deliver day-to-day services to Société Générale investment and corporate bank units and their clients to accelerate their transformation. GBTO differentiates itself from competitors with the pace of the agile transformation delivered, spreading the technology and data culture, shortening the decision-making process, and adopting a true industrial approach, leveraging on different teams either transversal or aligned to the different sub business units.

Our SGM team is responsible for developing and maintaining our B2B platform front ends under the name "SG | MARKETS" (https://info.sgmarkets.com/) on top of business APIs provided by other teams. We work closely with UX design team and targeting the best quality to provide services to external clients and internal business users. We are building specific custom Web user interfaces for specific business needs, or build widgets for our internal Dashboarding platform for Business Intelligence/Analytics use-cases.

What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?

  • Collect, identify, and translate business and technical requirements to project team
  • Collaborate with UX Design team to translate the needs to mockups
  • Estimate the effort, plan the tasks and organize team’s work to meet customer’s deadlines
  • Report on project status
  • Lead “agile” meetings and ceremonies with project team and customers
  • Collaborate proactively with other teams to meet team’s objectives
  • Ensure that release management / change management processes are followed
  • Promote out SG Markets platform and tools, promote our BI offer and contribute to our documentation, presentations and our user community

If necessary and depending on your capabilities, you may be asked to contribute to the software development processes such as testing, bug fixing, installing and configuring new features.

Profile required

Skills and Qualifications:

Competencies:

  • Rigorous, dynamic, detail oriented, fast learning capacity and able to work in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong ability in interfacing with business clients to comprehend and document business requirements and their priority and project commitments
  • Ability to coordinate and facilitate project execution and delivery commitment with other teams under different operational time zones
  • Proactive on taking leadership when needed, self-motivated, dynamic and result oriented
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills

Must Have:

  • Experience in Agile projects
  • Experience as a Business Analyst or Project Manager (between 1-3y)
  • Experience in client-facing, business requirements drafting, analysis & technical specifications
  • Good analytical capabilities to understand and suggest solution to complex topics

Technical Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge in Database and SQL (Oracle, MS SQL Server, …)
  • Experience with a BI tool (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience with one ETL tool (Talend, Informatica, …)

Languages: French, English

Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
