What will you do? Learn and grow as an important part of a team that cares about Reliance and its customers. Understand the Existing Business Situation and Identify Opportunity Build relationships with business partners to understand their business needs and translate business needs into documented requirements. Build engagement of business partners to embrace change and develop and implement an effective change management strategy throughout the project scoping, execution and support stages Find Appropriate Solutions Work with internal and external resources to conduct research into existing and emerging technologies and best practices to meet business requirements. Engage a network of vendors, outsourcers and peers to develop & document solution concepts. Convey solution concepts and associated risks and change implications to business partners to obtain their “informed buy in”. Works with the Business and Finance teams to perform cost benefit analysis on these solution concepts to support prioritization and development of proposals and/or business cases that outline recommended solutions and implementation plans. Supports and/or drives the project through the applicable approval gating processes with the functional business unit, Finance and project team. Provide BA support throughout the project execution cycle. Support the Solution Implementation Provide quality assurance direction and end-user testing or validation development and supervision to ensure that deliverables meet specifications. Work closely with outsourcing vendors and packaged application vendors to maintain the integrity of the business requirements. Develop and deliver training to business partners on new solutions, work closely with business partners and outsourcing vendors to provide post implementation support and management of change requests, and development and execution of measurement plans to report on achieved business benefit. Develop and report on KPI success measurements during post-launch to ensure that benefits are achieved. What do we offer? A growth mindset: above all else, we’re looking for people who are dependable, ambitious and want to grow with Reliance Business management degree or equivalent experience, with a focus on operational effectiveness and process efficiency. Minimum of three to five years’ experience in business analysis, preferably in a customer service business. Experience in project management and/or enrollment or completion of PMP would be an asset. Concrete organizational skills and ability to lead teams of strong personalities. Knowledge of, and demonstrated experience with, business analysis disciplines and processes, including requirements documentation and data, business and process modeling. Demonstrated experience and examples of solutions proposed and outcome of those proposals. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, with demonstrated expertise in interacting effectively with many levels of project stakeholders. Demonstrated experience leading workshops, assembling and conducting formal presentations, and facilitating consensus building and problem solving. Experience in working with outsourced development teams, packaged software vendors and implementers. Can harness the expertise of business partners and project team members to generate ideas and solve issues. Communicates well and often in the mode best suited to the audience or project. Includes written (detailed requirements docs, use cases, charters), informal presentation (brainstorming session), structured presentation, demonstrations. Audiences range from executives to clerical team members. Cuts through the noise and unnecessary complexity to make a persuasive case for your recommendation. Uses that to take data from analysis and connects it to solution concepts. Able to work at varying levels, from high concept discussion to low level hands on detail. Strong process skills including project management, analysis and meeting facilitation. More interested in business results than personal preferences in vendors, technology or process. Candidate can work independently and/or in teams of varying size as required for various work assignments Candidate is flexible for regular short term and periodic longer-term travel to Reliance offices, branches and/or business partners across Canada and US. Candidate is flexible to work hours required to meet the needs of the business during project deployments. Why Reliance?
