Sinai Health is looking for an experienced professional to join our team as a Business Analyst- Finance/ SAP S4 HANA Subject Matter Expert (“SME”).

The Financial Services team at Sinai Health is central to operational effectiveness, supporting all departments across the system in financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, and procure to pay, ensuring that all items and services are properly acquired so that projects and processes can proceed efficiently and successfully.

The Business Analyst- Finance (Financial Systems Analyst) will support the Director, Financial Reporting in the day-to-day maintenance and administration of all aspects of the existing SAP platform and will play a key role in the upcoming upgrade to the Ariba and S4/HANA platform. The Business Analyst- Finance (Financial Systems Analyst) will actively work with stakeholder groups across the System to obtain their buy-in and support, requiring collaboration and engagement with external stakeholders (including Mohawk Medbuy Corp (“MMC”)) as well as Sinai Health clinical, operations and administrative teams.

In this role you will:

  • Provide expertise in SAP S4 HANA modules including Financial Accounting and Controlling, Group Reporting, Procurement and SAP analytics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain SAP solutions.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot SAP S4 HANA-related issues, providing timely resolutions.
  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with end-users to understand their needs and translate them into effective SAP solutions.
  • Stay updated on SAP S4 HANA advancements and industry best practices to recommend process improvements.
  • Maintain approval hierarchy and user database to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Assist in project management and the coordination of key strategic initiatives by drafting plans and supporting communications.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures / user guides / workflows / forms and provide training to new users.
  • Complete other duties related to the position as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Successful completion of a university degree or college Diploma in a related field (e.g. Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, etc.) from an accredited educational institution.
  • 3-5 years’ recent and relevant experience including financial reporting and analysis, complex analytics/problem solving, etc.
  • S4 HANA subject matter expertise and Technical experience required
  • Strong understanding of SAP (ECC, SRM, Ariba, S4/HANA) configuration, implementation, and support; SAP integration with other systems and applications; and Financial Accounting and Reporting within SAP.
  • Applicants with proven equivalent recent and related training and experience may also be considered.
  • Strong data analysis skills with experience using a variety of IT systems and BI tools; previous experience with Ariba, Cobblestone, Power BI, Tableau, etc. a definite asset.
  • SQL experience an asset
  • Must be able to adapt and tackle issues around S4 HANNA implementation, system testing & configuration
  • Proficient with MS Office: advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to interpret data, create visualizations, draw conclusions and produce insight reports to support decision making and planning.
  • Strong aptitude for analytics and solution-based problem solving; strong ability to effectively analyze quantitative and qualitative data sets to identify and shape meaningful strategy / action plans.
  • Proven interpersonal and relationship building skills; professional, diplomatic and confident with a proven ability to work with individuals across all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to clearly define and articulate requirements, priorities, impacts, and solutions. Experience in writing and presenting business case to the management for all the S4 Hana technical upgrades, system migration, new functionalities etc. and any issues.
  • Flexible with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multitasking and dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands and changing priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and customer service.
  • Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history.
